The trend towards simpler, cheaper investment strategies Advisers are rejecting complex investments in favour of simpler, multi-asset strategies. This year, with the regulatory emphasis on disclosure, cost and ensuring that clients have a clear understanding of how an investment meets their needs, we’ve seen a move away from complex products towards simpler, lower cost, multi-asset products. We’ve also seen a continuation of the low interest rate, low inflationary environment, increased market volatility and the suspension of several direct property funds.
